The CC-P® Is Being Refreshed for 2026 | ACCO

The Certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P®) credential is being refreshed for 2026.

The curriculum refresh spans all course modules and exams, reflecting updates to climate science, policy, practices, standards, and operational realities of climate change work. We're also introducing a new cohort-based learning model with the first cohort launching in Summer 2026, alongside the publication of the comprehensive CC-P® Study Guide.

The refreshed CC-P® will be unveiled publicly at a virtual town hall on June 18. Current CC-P® holders, prospective candidates, employers, and policymakers are all invited.

We'll cover what's changing in the curriculum, how the new cohort model works, and the path forward through Summer 2026.

The refresh reflects how much the field has continued to evolve since version 2.0 of the credential was launched in 2023. Practitioners are working at intersections that didn't exist a decade ago. The credential is being updated to meet them where they are today and to anticipate where the work is heading next.
